Habitat Huronia appreciates the generous support of all our donors. Your gift helps us accomplish our goal of eliminating poverty housing across Canada and around the world.

You may make a donation in a number of ways - by mail, phone, on-line; in recognition or memory of loved-ones and friends; through a planned gift. Please select one of the options below.

To Donate On-Line

Donations may be made on-line through the services provided by our partner, CanadaHelps.org. A charitable organization with the sole purpose of supporting Canadian charities with the best e-commerce technologies, CanadaHelps provides secure, on-line donation processing for charities and donors. The secure donation system protects your credit card information, and sends you an official electronic donation receipt within a few minutes.

Individuals

You can honour someone special by making a gift in their name. You can send gift cards to your loved one for their anniversary, birthday, graduations or any other special occasion while supporting the work of Habitat Huronia. We will send a letter to the person you choose to honour, announcing that a gift has been made in their name. You will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible gift. Gift Donation Form

Corporations

If you are a company involved in the homebuilding industry or you supply a trade service to your customers, you can not only donate time to help on-site, but you can also provide Habitat for Humanity with much-needed donations of building materials (lumber, drywall, paint) and/or labour (plumbing, electrical). Habitat Huronia can also issue a Gift-In-Kind (GIK) tax receipt for materials so that your donation provides you with a tax benefit.

Memorial Donations

To donate in Memory of a Loved One, simply complete the donation form and send to Habitat for Humanity – Huronia, Inc. A gift to Habitat Huronia brings hope to families in need. We will send a card to the person you care about notifying of the gift made in memory of their loved one.

Land

The high cost of land in the Barrie coupled with the scarcity of land is one of the many stumbling blocks to building affordable housing. For the most part, Habitat Huronia must purchase land on the open market.

We are currently looking for residential property appropriate for a 1,100 square foot bungalow to make the dream of homeownership come true for a family in our community. Please help us build homes and hope, and break the cycle of poverty by donating your property or the funds to buy more land. The Site Selection Committee determines whether or not the property is suitable for one of our builds.
