GEEP – Supporter of Habitat for Humanity ReStore
March 07, 2010
GEEP is one of our key supporters
We all know that it takes a community to build a Habitat Home – but it also takes a community to support the Habitat for Humanity-Huronia ReStore which is the main generator of funds to build Habitat homes.
GEEP is one of our key supporters. Whatever the need, GEEP have always been willing to support and contribute and we are so very grateful for our professional relationship with them and for their continuing support.
Mr. Alfred Hambsch, President and Chairman of Barrie Metals Group of Companies, is a staunch supporter of Habitat for Humanity and has donated products, provided storage space for our use and has also provided space for us to build our Christmas Float. Alfred Hambsch is a visionary who continues to explore ways in which technology can be utilized to recycle all types of electronic waste such as computers, printers, monitors, cell phones, etc., extracting all metals and plastics.
GEEP was formed in 1989 and has continuously addressed the need for recycling in our community. This relationship is a natural fit with the ReStore as we recycle items that otherwise would be destined to a landfill site.
GEEP have expanded their recycling activities and have established businesses in Edmonton Alberta, and Texas and California in the USA.
In a relatively small community such as Barrie, we are delighted to enjoy this association with GEEP, sharing the same goals and objectives of protecting the environment by Recycling, Reusing, and ?
Our community continues to work together to protect our environment and our future.
