VOLUNTEERS

You don't need any special skills to lend a hand, just your enthusiasm and willingness to help.  We welcome your support and have volunteer opportunities to meet everyone's interests.  See below for the list of volunteer opportunities.  For more information, please contact Julie Brennan at 705-727-0802.

Adopt-a-day

Build homes, hope, team spirit and social responsibility.  Spending a day on a Habitat build is a great way for businesses, corporate groups and organizations to help make the dream of home ownership a reality for families in need. What better way to learn the value of team building, co-operation and leadership skills than by working with your co-workers and peers on a Habitat build? 

Office Support

We are always looking for volunteers to devote a few hours a week in our Affiliate office. We often need help with data input, mailings, answering the phone and various other tasks. If interested, please register on line on our Volunteer Hub.

Help with a Build

Volunteers are one of the major keys to our success, so whether you’re a contractor, or someone anxious to learn new skills and meet some great people, we would love to have you help out on-site at our next build!   Safety is very important to us when we have volunteers on-site at our builds, so we do stress that taking the safety training is a prerequisite for coming out to help.

Community Service

The purpose of the 40 hour community involvement requirement is to encourage students to develop awareness and understanding of civic responsibility and of the role they can play and the contributions they can make in supporting and strengthening their communities.  Habitat Huronia provides this opportunity to Simcoe County students. However, they must be 17 years of age to work on a build site.
